Chakra Healing
Jul 20th, 2010 by Anandhi

The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit “चक्र” meaning wheel or disc. There are seven major chakras and many minor chakras in our body. .Apart from the physical body, each human being has a spiritual body. This spiritual body is composed of vibrations of light (energy) and it envelops the physical body. These chakras are found embedded in our energy field. They resonate at different frequencies corresponding to the colours of the rainbow. These chakras are spinning vortices of energy and they cannot be physically detected.

Affirmations – the way to get what you want in Life!
Mar 5th, 2010 by Anandhi

Our life can be changed by the way we think. Life becomes happy and cheerful by our positive  thoughts . Our thoughts and beliefs create our world. Looking at the positive aspects of any situation and trying to focus on it generates a Positive Attitude.

Our subconscious mind creates everything in our life, depending on the commands that we give to it. It is like a magnet. It does  not know to reason out. It just simply  listens to us, and implicitly  carries out our commands or our messages.

Reiki – An Introduction
Oct 17th, 2009 by Sowmya

Our thanks to Reiki Master Anandhi (Reikiananda) for guest authoring this article on Reiki
———————————————————————————————————–

Health is wealth.“. He who has health, has hope. And he who has hope, has Everything.”

Each of us want to be healthy .. . For a person to be healthy and happy his physical, mental ,emotional and spiritual levels on the whole should be in balance and harmony. Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique which brings about a holistic healing of the person.

Reiki works on the physical mental, emotional and spiritual levels of a person (treating both the cause and effect ) thus bringing about a balance in both the body and mind of the person.

Reiki is a Japanese word having two syllables “Rei” and “ki”.pronounced as Ray-Key.
Rei means universal or that which is present everywhere and
ki means the prana shakthi or the life force energy.

Everything in this universe is made up of this energy. This same energy flows through each one of us.Reiki Reiki is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that this unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stressed, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in mid 1800. Reiki is a natural spiritual healing technique..which is unaffected by the Religious beliefs of a person. Anyone who has a willingness can learn Reiki. Just as no qualifications are required for a person to breathe or take in water no qualifications are required to learn Reiki. It is in fact every person’s birthright to have Reiki. Reiki is passed on to the student through a process called Attunement or Initiation by a Reiki master. Attunement is the core of Reiki.

Reiki is not limited to physical or mental healing. Reiki can strengthen the immune systems…improve awareness..improve relationships..remove addictions and fear…empower goals.. enable forgivance…improve memory… provide protection..and so on and so forth.

The health and well being of a person is determined by the prana flowing thru them…Reiki incorporates this prana sakthi / life force from the universe and supplies it to the person healed…the healer just acts as medium!!

Reiki is not a religion, It is spritual in nature. Apart from doing the Hands on healings a Reiki practitioner is expected to follow the five principles or Precepts of Reiki namely..

Just for today..

    I will not be angry
    I will not worry
I will be thankful for everything
I will lead an honest life
I will show love and respect to one and all

These principles when followed in daily life not only make us live in the present but also helps us improve the quality of life.
