Shri Rama Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya. Rama Navami falls on Chaitra Masa Suklapaksha Navami, the ninth day of the month of Chaitra in the Hindu calendar. In 2011, it falls on April 12th.
